Guest Terms
What every guest agrees to.
These terms apply when you book a pool as a guest. They work alongside the host's rules and the PoolSpaces Terms of Service.
How PoolSpaces works
We are a marketplace that facilitates bookings and payments between guests and hosts. We do not own, operate, staff or supervise any pool.
Hosts are independent owners or authorised operators. They are responsible for their premises, equipment, compliance and the condition of the space during a booking.
Guests are responsible for their own group, supervising children, following host rules and using the pool at their own risk.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and book a pool. Bookings for children must include a supervising adult on the reservation.
2. Booking a pool
A booking is only confirmed after payment is authorised and the host accepts the reservation (or after automatic confirmation, where available). Until then, the pool is not reserved.
3. Guest count
The number of people who enter the pool area may not exceed the guest count on the booking. Children count toward the total unless the host's rules say otherwise.
4. Arrival and conduct
- Arrive during your booked window, not before or after.
- Follow the host's house rules, including noise, music and cut-off times.
- Do not bring unregistered visitors, pets or items prohibited by the host.
- Keep glass, sharp objects and electrical devices away from the water.
5. Safety and supervision
Swimming carries risk. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your group. Children must be actively supervised by a sober adult at all times. PoolSpaces does not guarantee safety.
6. Damage and deposits
You may be charged for damage you or your group cause to the pool, equipment, fencing or property. Security deposits are held separately and released according to the Damage Policy.
7. Cancellations
Guest cancellations are governed by the Cancellation Policy and the specific cancellation terms selected by the host for that listing. Cleaning and service fees may be handled separately.
8. Reviews
Reviews may only be left after a completed booking. They must be honest and not contain defamatory, discriminatory or private information.
9. Account suspension
We may suspend a guest account for rule violations, unsafe behaviour, repeated cancellations, fraudulent payments or abuse of the platform.
