Host Terms

What every host agrees to.

These terms apply when you list a pool or accept bookings. They work alongside the Terms of Service and the other policies on the platform.

How PoolSpaces works

PoolSpaces

We are a marketplace that facilitates bookings and payments between guests and hosts. We do not own, operate, staff or supervise any pool.

Hosts

Hosts are independent owners or authorised operators. They are responsible for their premises, equipment, compliance and the condition of the space during a booking.

Guests

Guests are responsible for their own group, supervising children, following host rules and using the pool at their own risk.

1. Eligibility

You must be the legal owner or have written authority to share the pool. You must complete our identity and listing verification process before the pool can receive bookings.

2. Listing accuracy

Your listing, photos, description, amenities, capacity, rules, pricing and availability must be accurate and kept up to date. You may not mislead guests about location, size, features or condition.

3. Availability and calendars

You are responsible for keeping your calendar current. If you accept a booking, you must make the pool available for the full reserved window. Cancellations are tracked and may affect your listing status.

4. Safety and equipment

  • Keep the pool, deck, fencing, gates, lighting and surfaces in safe condition.
  • Provide a reaching aid or flotation device and a stocked first-aid kit.
  • Clearly mark depth and identify the shallow end.
  • Lock away chemicals, pumps, covers and equipment.

5. Guest conduct

You set the house rules. You may end a booking early if guests violate your rules or create a safety risk, and you must report the incident through the platform.

6. Fees and payouts

PoolSpaces deducts a commission and applicable processing fees from each booking. Payouts are released according to our Payout Policy, normally after a short post-booking review window.

7. Insurance and compliance

You are responsible for any licences, permits, taxes, insurance and legal compliance required for your property. PoolSpaces does not provide insurance and does not guarantee that a host has insurance.

8. Host cancellations

Host cancellations are tracked and may affect your reliability score, search ranking and eligibility to host. Repeated cancellations can lead to warnings, suspension or removal from the platform.

9. Listing removal

We may remove or suspend a listing for safety concerns, guest complaints, inaccurate information, policy violations or inactivity.
