Prohibited Activities
What is not allowed on PoolSpaces.
These activities are prohibited on the platform, in listings, during bookings and in any communication between users.
How PoolSpaces works
We are a marketplace that facilitates bookings and payments between guests and hosts. We do not own, operate, staff or supervise any pool.
Hosts are independent owners or authorised operators. They are responsible for their premises, equipment, compliance and the condition of the space during a booking.
Guests are responsible for their own group, supervising children, following host rules and using the pool at their own risk.
1. Illegal or harmful activity
Any illegal activity, including drug use, violence, weapons, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, fraud or theft, is prohibited. We may report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
2. Misrepresentation
Hosts may not misrepresent their identity, ownership, location, amenities, capacity, safety features or condition of the pool. Guests may not misrepresent their group size or booking purpose.
3. Off-platform payment
All payments, refunds and deposits must be handled through PoolSpaces. Users may not ask for, offer or accept payment outside the platform.
4. Overcrowding and unregistered guests
The number of people present during a booking may not exceed the booked guest count. Bringing unregistered visitors, gate-crashers or re-selling a booking is not allowed.
5. Commercial events and filming
Commercial events, filming, photography for profit, ticketed events or promotional activities are only permitted with the host's prior written agreement and, where required, the correct permits and insurance.
6. Unsafe behaviour
- Running, pushing, diving in shallow or undesignated areas, or climbing on roofs and fences.
- Swimming while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
- Tampering with pumps, filters, heaters, covers, chemicals or safety equipment.
- Glass containers, sharp objects or electrical devices near the water.
- Leaving children unsupervised or allowing a non-swimmer to enter alone.
7. Damage and vandalism
Deliberate damage, vandalism, theft, misuse of amenities or intentional disruption of neighbours is prohibited.
8. Consequences
Violations may lead to warnings, cancellation of bookings, forfeiture of deposits, removal of listings, account suspension or permanent ban. We may also share information with law enforcement or insurers where appropriate.
